A hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is an event in which computer programmers and others involved in software development, including graphic designers, interface designers and project managers, collaborate intensively on software projects.
Northern Cape Developer Hackathon (NCDevHack) is an annual provincial hackathon aimed at stimulating and developing more ICT/Entrepreneurship in the province.
The Theme: Hacking The Ecosystem
With a culture of hackathons on the rise, we need to explore the role that hackathons in academic access, excitation and acceleration in bringing about excellence. Participants will be challenged to contextualize their solutions for the betterment of life and channel economic growth.

The Hackathon is free for all to attend, the goal is that
you you get learn something new at the end.
These are some things to note for the hackathon:
* Bring own laptop
* Bring plugs and extensions to be safe
* A team must have maximum 5 members and 2 as minimum
* Bring something to warm you up
* Food, snacks and drinks will be provided
The Programme consists of various activities that will take place during the 24 Hours of the Hackathon.

Before the Hackathon, the team will go to a community outreach to gather challenges in the society, school and in business.
